The Poem-Off is now open until midnight December 5th 2017! This month’s competition will be judged by November’s veteran, Mike Blouin!
Entry is always free!
(See guidelines below.)
As part of the commitment to bring out new, talented voices in the Ottawa poetry community, Sawdust invites submissions to our monthly Poem-Off Competition, for a chance to read alongside the scheduled featured reader for the following month!
The competition is judged by last month’s scheduled feature reader. With the judge changing monthly, those who submit more than once not only increase their chances of being selected, but have multiple amazing poets read their work.
Page Poets: Please send up to 150 lines of poetry in a single .doc attachment to email@example.com, subject line SUBMISSION. Please do not include your name in the attachment as judging is blind, but please do include your name and a short bio in the body of the email.
Audio submissions are also accepted in mp3 format under three minutes in length.
Entry is free, and entry is open to everyone. We encourage you, and look forward to reading your work!
(Out-of-town entrants please note that as there is no financial component to this prize, entrants are responsible for their own expenses.)
